About Us

Sustainable Biofuels Solutions, LLC (SBS) provides leading-edge renewable energy solutions to a global client base.

SBS is led by David Nash (RADM USN Ret). Mr. Nash is a professional engineer with more than 45 years of expertise, including multi-million dollar complexes and multi-billion dollar infrastructure programs.  During his career, Mr. Nash provided construction, program, financial, and acquisition management services for programs and projects worldwide including multi- billion dollar global construction programs that encompassed industrial facilities, transportation, housing and utilities projects.  As the Director of the Iraq Program Management Office, Mr. Nash managed an $18 billion budget then created and initially managed the largest reconstruction program ever attempted by the US Government outside its borders. He served the US Navy as a commissioned civil engineer for 33 years before retiring as a Rear Admiral.

SBS offers two highly efficient, state-of-the-art, renewable-energy technologies: CMDand Sublimax. CMD creates renewable, drop-in fuel from various forms of biomass and municipal solid waste (MSW) using a technique called Continuous Microwave Thermo Catalytic Depolymerization.  The Sublimax technology transforms feedstock directly to a gaseous state without passing through a liquid stage.  It does not produce a low BTU syngas typical of other gasification technologies but rather a high BTU gas containing a significant percentage of methane, making it suitable for both reciprocating and turbine gensets.

Used singularly or in tandem, CMD and Sublimax provide our partners with an engineered solution that maximizes energy yield from the partner’s feedstock, minimizes carbon footprint, and delivers renewable energy in the form of liquid fuel, renewable gases, or both.

Please see the Technologies page for a detailed discussion of CMD and Sublimax.

SBS's CMDand Sublimax technologies produce renewable fuel and electricity with industry leading efficiencies. Our solutions can be sized to match almost any feedstock type and volume.

SBS has established strategic alliances with world class Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) providers who have the financial strength and credit worthiness to meet the most demanding financing requirements.

Projects under consideration will convert not only woodchip and woody biomass feedstock, but also other forms of carbon-based feedstock, including municipal solid waste, construction debris, animal waste, tires, carpet, sugar cane, grasses and more.

CMD and Sublimax are renewable energy solutions combining affordability, efficiency and environmental responsibility.
